UPDATE: JUNE 2017

though the building that the

RED LOTUS ROOM was in, sold in the

fall of 2013, we are still doing SHANGHAI

MERMAID in other cool spaces around nyc. in

addition, i've started two new parties created in

the same spirit. "shanghai express", an (almost)

monthly soiree, and "moonlight and music on

the on the hudson", which takes place on

a big sailboat in the warmer

months.

i'm currently looking

for a new space where i can

create a permanent venue/club, as

well as investors. i hope to see you

red lotus room / main room

 
entire space is 6,000 square feet.  main room is 3,700 sq. ft., and has a stage w/ curtains, piano, lighting & audio board, large dressing room w/make-up mirrors, backstage area, 4 bathrooms, 2 bars, bussing station, painted red brick & cinder-block walls, one natural brick wall,  original wood-beamed ceilings (13-14 ft high), brick archways and columns, wooden overhang, wainscoting, columns, two exits to outer rooms, bistro tables & chairs . . .

1,600 sq. ft., L-shaped, brick walls, access to garden, 16-18 ft. ceilings, roll-up gate and regular door entry.
